TRIBAL VOL. 2 – Mixed By Steve AngellonnSweden’s Size Records head honcho and 21-yr old musical prodigy Steve Angello turns out his first major mix CD, released exclusively in Europe on Pool e Music. This 16-track mix shows that unlike a lot of noteworthy producers, Steve also happens to be a pretty good DJ. The name is misleading, as funky house, progressive house, and electro flavors are the actual ingredients of this compilation. The beat-matching is clean, although I personally would have preferred a few longer, more complex transitions. The track selection is excellent, showcasing a fine lineup of many of today’s top names in house. Plus, Steve gets bonus points as several of his tracks are featured on the disc.
