Ian Carey goes all-out with a slew of major updates all across his brand. New releases, two new websites, a new podcast, and much, much more.

On the release tip, coming soon is Ian’s remake of his Soul Providers classic “Rise”, now titled “Keep On Rising”. This particular release will also feature a remix contest, the details of which have yet to be fully revealed. Another release, The Ian Carey Project – “Get Shaky”, is also on the horizon with remixes forthcoming from Stonebridge and Brad Holland…

On the web front, Ian Carey has a brand-new website for himself, www.iancarey.com, as well as his label, www.gfab-records.com/. Not stopping there, he also has a slamming new Myspace page.

On top of that, Ian is also slated to host an upcoming video tutorial for Future Music Magazine, where he will take viewers through creating an Ian Carey track.

IAN CAREY is on a roll right now – leading UK music industry paper
MUSICWEEK commends him as hottest remixer of the moment in a recent
edition.

Both the #1 and #2 slot in the Upfront Club Top 40 were held
by tracks that Ian Carey had his sweaty paws on: “Moving Too Fast” by
Supafly Inc and “Do It 2Nite” by Rockefeller. Not stopping there, Ian
has applied the remix pressure to a stunning 8 tracks in the charts
altogether, 6 of them listed in the TOP 40. Not too bad for a boy from Baltimore.

Ian currently resides on the beautiful mediterranean coast of Spain,
hitting the airport every weekend to spread his sound to western
europe and beyond. Just back from an Australian tour and playing in
the Philippines, he is obviously inspired by his gigs, cranking
out remixes and own productions like a man possessed.

Ian Carey’s collaboration with Swiss duo – The Good Guys – has turned in one dancefloor scorcher. On the production tip Ian has wandered into yet another domain, this time into the dirty bass driven electro/house territory, while The Good Guys supply a well written and demanding vocal to sit right on top.

This is prime time main floor material ladies & electro obsessed gents. The original mix brings back memories of the speaker vibrating goodness of Mr. Oizo’s “Flat Eric” anthem from years back combined with the magic of the Swedish House Mafia. 2005 has been a very big year for Mr. Carey, with a range of pumpin’, yet very mature forms of funky house being delivered from his studio of magic. Swedish label Nero is the next camp to deliver his next massive tune, and “Say What You Want” is a step forward for this artist.

Just when I thought Ian was beginning to develop a formula with his productions & remixes, he reinvents the wheel, and bangs one home with two similiar yet very different mixes.

The vocal mix shows off the vocal talents of newcomer Miss Bunty, and grooves in very funky fashion. Uplifting yet not over the top in way, shape, or form, Ian really nailed this one for the vocal house crowd. Top notch!..

Next, we enter the land of mysterious dubs, where every producer’s interpretation of a dub is different. Here we find a more pumpin’ affair, with large drum progressions, and an almost progressive house feel with just enough funk to not scare off the typical Ian Carey fan. This one is getting rotations from a wide range of artists – from the Pete Tong’s to the Swedish Mafia types.
