Deadmau5 has no interest in being in the middle of an 80,000 person crowd and “having the time of [his] life.” So how come he’ll rock audiences just like that at matter, The Warehouse Project, Amsterdam Dance Event and many more throughout the rest of the year on his world tour? It’s a bit complicated.
The mega-electronic U.S. label signs the electro house phenom as part of their North American representation roster. An artist album & 50 tour dates have already been confirmed…we just hope they don’t pressure the man to release “more commercial” music.

Mr. Joel Zimmerman, Torontonian better known as Deadmau5, has his first full-length coming out at long last. The album, which is due to include all of the Deadmau5 dancefloor monsters that made him famous, also delves into the more chilled out side of the infamous artist. In fact, in a recent Beatportal interview he went so far as to say that he was interested in producing a kind of ‘half and half’ album, with one disc as an electronic, danceable mix, and the other his own musical preferences which are not necessarily ‘danceable’, pulling influences from Squarepusher, Boards of Canada, Radiohead and the like…

Good old Deadmau5 last night totally destroyed his Mau5trap party at BED in Miami with a special Daft Punk bootleg that utilized the vocal from ‘Harder Better Faster Stronger’ over the top of his own bad ass electro house bleeper ‘The Reward Is Cheese’.
