Formerly known as the ‘House Music Festival’, this massive electronic music concert aims to start the holiday season off with a ‘bang’. The massive lineup is primarily house-oriented, but also features live acts, a good helping of breaks, and a select few representatives from various other genres of EDM.

This is undoubtedly one of the best house lineups ever seen in the US, outside of the WMC. Bad Boy Bill, Benny Benassi, DJ Dan, Antoine Clamaran, Donald Glaude, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell are just a tease of what this lineup has to offer. All in all, over 60 DJs (almost all being major international headliners) will play on 7 stages in Miami’s Bicentennial Park. Tickets start at $25.

This year they have broken it down into various genres to allow for more of a ‘level playing field’ and each genre will have an ‘Overall Winner’. The annual Winter Music Conference serves as the release date for the issue that announces the winners and has been dominated in past years by none other than Bad Boy Bill. DJ Mag Announces New Top 100

DJ Mag Announces New Top 100The global poll announces its results for 2005! A stunning total of 123,933 EDM fans from 147 different countries cast their votes to tell DJ Mag (and the world) who their favorites are this year.

33,000 more people voted this year than the last, signaling good news for the global EDM industry. Surprisingly, the majority of those votes came from the US, completely reversing claims that the scene stateside is on it’s last legs.

Numerous funky house players earned good spots on the list, including Erick Morillo (#18), DJ Dan (#24), Bad Boy Bill (#42), Armand Van Helden (#61), and Donald Glaude (#68). To check out the full list, head over to DJMag.com
