Watch the video, and make your own personal judgement. When did it become acceptable to accept thousands of dollars/euros to “perform”, and that performance entailed cheerleading, and not DJing? Hands down, this is a depressing artist decision, not just to the paying audience of Dance Valley 2011 in Holland, but to house music fans all over the world. DJs are artists, when they maximize their craft. Pressing “play” on a recording, and disguising it as a live performance, is not what our culture represents…
