The production squad behind Breakbot has just shared their new track – ‘Shades Of Black’ – available next month on “Let The Children Techno” mixed by Busy P and DJ Mehdi. By the sound of this clip, it has nothing but high quality funky attributes layered all over it, and even gives us a bit of those old school Daft Punk spine-shivers. A must have for any tasty, trend-setting DJ playing for demanding audiences. Very fresh release!
A helicopter fails to fly. A shepherd’s pie succeeds in flying. Many herrings die. Plus the best in new electronic music live from London Bridge England. Heavy disco and megabass violence!
There isn’t much to say about old Treasure Fingers that hasn’t already been implied. The US-based skirt chaser has been delivering his unique brand of up-tempo house music since we can remember, remixing the likes of Tensnake, Classixx and Groove Armada and millions more. You may also know him for a little ditty called ‘Cross The Dancefloor’, which has been firmly glued in our memory slots ever since those Fools Gold fellas released it back in summer of ’08.

Is it us, or did someone drop a message to Olav to just drop that dark, techy, minimal electro he’s been focused on the last couple of years, and get back to his ROOTZ to make music that made Olav truly a producer many house heads simply adore? The sample below for his new forthcoming remix seems indicative that someone brave delivered the message, and Olav is abiding…welcome back Mr. Basoski – we’ve missed you, and are ecstatic to hear your re-focused funky house sound!
Chris Lake’s imprint Rising Music return with an exclusive new release from Nightriders. They supply us with ‘Hey’ – a fantastic disco infused anthem, full of string stabs, funky bass lines, whirling synths and a chopped up vocal sample great for a peak time floor filler. Chris Lake and Marco Lys add their magic by giving the original a tougher re-working – adding a rolling bass line and extra spicy drums with big signature build and after the success of their recent album ‘Cross The Line’ it’s easy to see how they have created a highly quality produced main room edit. Nom De Strip who with previous releases on Southern Fried, Ministry of Sound, Trouble & Bass, Sneakerz, and Surfer Rosa adds to the package by transforming the original into a chunky house classic by using new bass lines and choppy beats.
Olav Basoski was last seen flying the musical flag for Defected more than a decade ago, where the scene – both musically and in business terms – was a very different place. However, after a few years of, in his own words ‘not really convincing himself’ with his musical output, Olav is well and truly back in the form that made him one of the most celebrated house producers of the last decade.

Ask anyone with an Internet connection who the hardest working DJ over the past twelve months has been and one name will pop up more than most. Bxentric has built a sturdy following of fans with inventive, intelligent & infectious mixtapes. Whilst sharing a DJ booth at Nottingham’s Stealth club; Bxentric impressed Radio 1 stalwarts Jaymo & Andy George so much that they asked him to become the resident night-starter at their now infamous Moda parties. Seizing the chance to rub shoulders with some of his heroes, Bxentric then set about taking on the world of production joining forces with his guitarist to become a production duo, quickly notching up an impressive collection of original tracks & remixes of Louie Austen, Flight Facilities and The C90s.
