Alex Metric – BBC Radio 1 – In New DJs We Trust (12/9/2010)

Check out Alex Metric’s last episode on BBC Radio 1′s ‘In New DJs We Trust’ radio show series, as he shifts career gears to focus more on production. To be honest, as much as we will miss listening to his favorite new choons each month, this is a solid shift. We look forward to more original packages from this up and copming talent!
So here’s to 2011 being one of the best yet, things are stepping up a gear! So with that in mind I have to announce I’m going to be leaving Radio 1 INDJWT. Firstly I’d like to say how much I’ve enjoyed my time at the station. It was an unexpected twist in my musical journey, but one I have loved every second of. Having the chance to play terrible 80′s records on a Thursday evening on one of the biggest radio stations in the world is something I have enjoyed greatly. And quite frankly I’m surprised I got away with it. But, my first love and the reason I’m here today is making music. First and foremost I’m a producer and I need to give that all my energy and attention. I’d like to thank everyone that’s helped me along the way at the station, Tom Koenig, Chloe Straw, Roman Tagoe, my fellow INDJWT presenters and especially Rhys Hughes for getting me in there in the first place.
