Most people won’t argue that the current electro house scene is overrun by sub-par, quickly hashed together productions meant simply to capitalize on the popular dancefloor sound that is, for the most part, shocking simple to create. How difficult is it really to throw together a sparse selection of drums, a monotone preset bassline, and a simple bleep? As the current selection of most retailers’ prove, not too hard at all.

And that is precisely why this reviewer was pleasantly surprised by this delectable diamond in the rough, courtesy of Funkagenda and Tikk Takk…

“Good To Me” was, well, just that. It’s refreshing to hear an engaging bassline that actually moves and breathes in tandem with the other elements in the track, which include a sonically inspiring pad, a simple but equally pleasing vocal hook, and entertaining drums. This work of art is the exact opposite of your standard electro house cut, without sounding even the slightest bit cheesy.

Also included are remixes from Rogue DJ’s and Chad Lewis & Kim Fai, but the original mix brings the true heat on this release.
