“With the increasing popularity of the MP3 audio format and the MP3 playback capability in Pioneer’s digital CDJ turntables, it made sense for us to partner with a leading dance music download store like Beatport,” said Karl Detken, director of product planning for DJ products at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “It gives consumers the opportunity to try Beatport’s exceptional service and offerings, allowing them to download, burn and play their chosen music content on the recently purchased Pioneer equipment.”
This unique co-branding initiative brings two of the biggest players in dance music together for the first time. Pioneer has consistently led the way in innovative DJ performance technology, making the CDJ series the industry standard in digital turntables. In the current age of digital downloads, disc jockeys and top club facilities around the world use Pioneer’s CDJ products with dance content largely coming from Beatport. With more than 100,000 songs available and 2,700 label partners, Beatport has become the industry leader in the electronic music download space.
“We are very excited about this promotion with Pioneer. We at Beatport share their commitment to quality and innovation in the electronic music space.
