Blow Media Continues Their Digital Onslaught
The unstoppable Canadian label has been cranking out tunes so fast that it’s difficult to keep up.
Everytime the FunkyHouseMusic.com crew checks out Blow Media’s website we are shocked to find a slew of new and upcoming digital-only releases that we didn’t even know existed.
In the next ten days alone three new tracks are scheduled to hit the digital streets: “Just Do It” by DJ Ortzi (today, August 21), “The Rooster” by label-head Hatiras and Jaxon (August 24th), and “40,000 Years of Funk” by Adam K and Shawn Austin (August 31st). And just last week the online world was introduced to Jacques Bauer’s “Abandon Ship!”.
..
So has Blow Media given up vinyl? We asked Hatiras and according to him, “the music industry is definitely in a transition period right now and we want to be at the forefront.” Yet he didn’t specifically state that the label had abandoned the medium.
One thing’s for sure – it’s doubtful that we would be seeing this intense of a release schedule if each one of these tracks were hitting vinyl.
