Exclusive Review: Tom Novy - Your Body (Bad Boy Bill, JJ Flores & Steve Smooth Remix)Artist: Tom Novy
Title: Your Body (Bad Boy Bill, JJ Flores & Steve Smooth Remix)
Label: Kosmo
Format: Vinyl
Release Date: TBA
Audio Sample: Listen

‘Your Body’ by Tom Novy was released in early 2005 and took the club world by storm via the remix done by Andy Van. Now it’s getting re-released on Novy’s own label Kosmo this summer. While we haven’t gotten a hold of the full details of the release, we have gotten a hold of the mix done by Steve Smooth, JJ Flores and Bad Boy Bill and if its any indication of what this package will hold this re-release will be HUGE.

Getting away from the original’s ’80′s disco sample and using only the vocal hook (courtesy of Micheal Marshall); Steve, JJ, and Bill have crafted what is sure to be a dance floor bomb! With an infectious electro backdrop this mix is pounding from front to back; strong kicks and airing fx carry this track, allowing the vocal to shine through and set this mix off proper. With a break down that is perfect for the peak hour madness yet combined with a light texture, this one that will work well at any point in your set… Read more

Title: Rumors – Part Two (Chuck Love Remix)
Label: Celebrity Records
Format: Digital
Release Date: 4/26/06
Audio Sample: Listen

Andy Caldwell (OM Records, Swank, Uno Recordings) departs from his more (as of late) electro style to deliver an outright soulful anthem featuring the powerful vocals by Xavior of Deepswing fame, and Omega, the songstress behind the ultra classic “I Can’t Wait” on OM Records. Watch out because the chorus will be in your head “forever baby”!

Part 2 of the soulful smash finally drops with mixes by the man like CHUCK LOVE!!! Chuck delivers a piano heavy bumper with that extra love that is infectious, and extremely dance floor friendly. The production is top notch, and the Minnesota producer continues to build off of his countless accomplishments from 2005. If you haven’t heard of Chuck Love yet, doing some online researching on this man’s numerous production credits. You might end up cursing yourself for missing the boat on this one!.. Read more
